The Passion of the Christ movie
This is an old episode of What Catholics Believe from 2004. It was recorded shortly after the release of Mel Gibson's film, "The Passion of the Christ". Due to poor picture quality the program was never shown. Hoping there may still be some interest in the discussion however, it was decided to salvage the footage by converting it to black and white and make the best of what was there. The audio is still quite good.
The host was James Urling, a Cincinnati area attorney. At the time, What Catholics Believe was broadcast on Time-Warner cable, hence the running time to fit inside a half-hour slot (this is true of all the older series of shows).
Also like all the older shows, this one too is small in format. This is due to the deprecated analog NTSC broadcast standards that were used at the time.
Enjoy!

Apologetics: Faith Alone and Mercy
I Corintians chapter 13
(from the Rheims New Testament, A.D. 1582)
Charity is to be preferred before all other gifts.
Charity is to be preferred before all other gifts.
Brethren: If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. And if I should have prophecy, and should know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I should have all faith so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity is patient, is kind; Charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely, is not puffed up, is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never falleth away; whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away the things of a child. We see now through a glass in a dark manner; but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then I shall know even as I am known. And now there remain faith, hope and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Questions II Part 2
This is the prayer mentioned by Father and Jim in the video:
Prayer of Consecration to
the Immaculate Heart of the Queen of Heaven
O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to thine Immaculate Heart. We consecrate to thee our very being and our whole life; all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To thee we give our homes, our families, our country.
We desire that all that is in us and around us may belong to thee, and may share in the benefits of thy motherly blessing. And that this act of consecration may be truly efficacious and lasting, we renew this day at thy feet the promises of our Baptism and our first Holy Communion. We pledge ourselves to profess bravely and at all times the truths of our Holy Faith, and to live as befits Catholics. We pledge ourselves to keep the commandments of God and His Church, in particular to keep Holy the Lord's Day.
We likewise pledge ourselves to make the consoling practices of the Catholic religion, and above all Holy Communion, a central part of our lives, insofar as we shall be able to do so. Finally, we promise thee, O glorious Mother of God and loving Mother of me, to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the service of thy blessed veneration in order to hasten and assure, through the queenship of thine Immaculate Heart, the coming of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of thy dear Son, in our own hearts and in those of all men, in our country and in all the world, as in heaven, so on earth. Amen!
