St. Philomena the Wonder Worker

Tom Naegele and Father Jenkins talk about an early virgin martyr of the church, St. Philomena. Father discusses what is known about her, other saints like her and her intercessory power for us. Father also talks about the Novus Ordo removing her and several other saints from the liturgical calendar and why they were taken away. Finally, Father Jenkins recounts a time he said Mass in the catacombs in Rome where St. Philomena was found, what the catacombs are like and something a sister who guided him in and out of the catacombs told him. Very enlightening, amusing and memorable. This program was recorded 23 August 2017.
