In this episode, Tom and Fr. Jenkins examine St. Francis de Sales’ Philothea, or An Introduction to the Devout Life. How a double-minded man is also a double-hearted man; why confession is so powerful and puts one on the path to a perfect love for God; the purgative way — how to break free from mortal sin and its imprisoning orbit; placing oneself in the presence of God before one prays; how meditation and prayer are intertwined; and lastly how Our Lord’s life is the textbook for our life.

Fr. Jenkins comments on Cardinal Marc Ouellet’s ‘Open Letter’. The ‘Open Letter’ is a response to Abp. Viganò’s appeal to Cardinal Ouellet to confirm that the allegations made in Viganò’s letter of 22 August 2018 are true. Ouellet writes to disprove Viganò’s allegations but in fact ends up in confirming them as demonstrated by Fr. Jenkins.

Father Jenkins returns to answering emails: is it correct to avoid attending Mass offered by a sedevacantist priest out of fear of offending Our Lord; how does one leave the Novus Ordo and become a Catholic; what is John Paul II's 'theology of body'; and what happens to unbaptized children whom were miscarried. Tom and Fr. Jenkins then discuss who is a 'child of God'. Lastly, the dialogue turns towards the recent agreement between the Vatican and the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association with emphasis on how this parallels Bp. Fellay's statement in early September that, "the modern church recognizes us as Catholics."
